Mission: To end the suffering and neglect of dogs and cats in our community, due to the pet overpopulation crisis, through affordable spay and neuter, vaccines and preventative care; and through public awareness, education and outreach.

Vision: To end the suffering of otherwise adoptable dogs and cats due to the pet overpopulation crisis.

There are simply too many dogs and cats and not enough homes in Collier County.  The most effective and humane way of addressing the pet overpopulation crisis is through community spay/neuter programs combined with education and public awareness. When we spay and neuter our animals, the stress on shelters is greatly reduced!

We go to where the problem is! SNIP Collier is a "boots on the ground" nonprofit 501c3 organization. We work with the community to tell us where the need is, and we react by going to that community and rescuing abandoned and stray animals that are usually sick or injured.   Through our Helping Paws Medical Fund, these animals then get the medical care required, sterilization and vaccines before being placed for adoption with our shelter partners.

What SNIP Collier Does

  • Free and Low Cost spay & neuter surgeries for your dog and cat, for low-income families
  • Low Cost Clinic in Naples open five days a week to the general public and their pets. Providing low cost spay/neuter, vaccinations, flea and tick prevention/ treatment and exams for dogs and cats
  • Rescue of stray, abandoned and discarded dogs and cats
  • Foster program for pregnant dogs, through our partnerships with adoption agencies.  After the puppies are weaned from their mother, they will be surrendered to a local shelter, spayed/neutered, and put up for adoption.  The mother will be spayed and returned to her family.
  • TNR- trap, neuter release for feral cats, plus rabies vaccinations and any additional medical care
  • Owner Surrender, through our adoption partners
